1
Anna M. Ruszel

Co-Funder & Compliance Director

Anna is a seasoned compliance and risk professional with over 15 years of experience in banking and regulatory compliance. With an academic background in International Relations and a postgraduate qualification in Anti-Money Laundering (ICA Diploma), she brings a global perspective to risk management, governance, and cross-border collaboration.

She is also a Fellow of the International Compliance Association (FICA) and holds art market qualifications from institutions including Sotheby’s Institute of Art and Christie’s Education.

In 2018, Anna pioneered compliance in the art market by founding Art Market Compliance, one of the first initiatives dedicated exclusively to combating financial crime within the art world. Her work established her as a trusted advisor to art businesses, collectors, and institutions navigating the evolving complexities of AML regulations and financial crime prevention in the international art market.

Through Art Nevis Art Advisory, Anna continues to merge her expertise in financial services with her passion for art and cultural diplomacy. She supports clients in building responsible collections, assessing market risks, and leveraging the cultural and creative value of art within private and corporate environments. Her mission is to ensure that creativity and commerce thrive together on foundations of integrity, transparency, and ethical practice.
